The American/Crew Neck Tee is a reconstruction of the heavyweight tee shirts made in the USA in the 80s and early 90s.

In order to reproduce the unique rough texture found in American-made t-shirts, extra thick (No. 10 single) open-end yarn is used.

In addition, the jersey is knitted at 22 gauge instead of the usual 18 gauge. The 10-count open-end yarn knitted by a knitter in Wakayama and the tight weave give it a firm texture and a mellow finish that gives it a unique and relaxed feel.

The back features a washable leather "The American" patch and bungee cord.
