Photographer Kusupei Akagi is a hot topic for his unique works, such as “Kenko,” in which he removes the camera lens and collects and photographs light, and “Zenzen,” a series of multiple exposure photographs based on the theme of chance.
He and I played basketball together in elementary and junior high school.
He went abroad in the middle of junior high school, then returned to Japan temporarily to graduate from Nihon University College of Art, before immediately moving back to the UK.
Having grown up in many different places, he is completely unconventional and seems to be supported by core artists in various fields.
After we moved to Komazawa, he dropped by to visit us and we met again.
Even though we haven't seen each other for a long time, we're still on the same wavelength and decided to do something fun and relaxed without forcing ourselves, so we came up with the idea of holding a "festival."
Because she's such an uncontrollable junior,
I'm not sure yet what kind of work I'll be able to introduce, but I'm confident that it will be something interesting and not ordinary.
All visitors will be photographed using his signature multiple exposure photography technique, "Zenzen."
We will give you the finished work as a gift at a later date.
Come and make some summer memories experiencing art!
What is "ZENZEN" (coincidence + nature = spontaneous)
This refers to a multiple exposure work that is made by exposing one film three times and printing it. As part of the process, the film is wound up after one exposure and stored in a suitable box until a suitable amount is obtained.
When the timing is right, a film is randomly selected from the box.
The second shoot, then the third, and finally the finish!
After the film is developed, the best parts are printed out to complete the picture.
